Led by HOF manager Joe McCarthy, the 1934 Yankees placed a strong second in the American League. Nearing the end of his career and his last with the Yankees, Ruth still managed to hit 22 home runs, with Gehrig picking up the slack and belting 49. 23 members of the 1934 New York Yankees have signed this vintage OAL Harridge baseball. Black ink signatures include Babe Ruth on the sweet spot, Lou Gehrig, Russ Van Atta, Frank Crosetti, Floyd Newkirk, Johnny Murphy, Left Gomez, Zack Taylor, Red Rolfe and many more. The ball shows wear and darkening due to age and grades EX. The Ruth and Gehrig signatures are the strongest, grading a 7, several of the remaining signatures have faded, grading an overall 3-6. Accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
