A multi-talented player, Mickey Mantle anchored the great Yankee teams that won 12 AL Pennants and seven World Championships during his days as a player from 1951 through 1968. Mantle continued his involvement with the Yanks as a coach during Spring Training. He was elected to the Baseball HoF in 1974. On the inside back collar of the jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturers tag with wash instructions and the jersey size "50" on it. On the left breast of the jersey is "NY." On the back of the jersey is the coach's number "7." All lettering and numbering is done in blue tackle twill. There is an autograph in blue marker rating a strong 8 below the "NY" on the front of the jersey. The jersey shows use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
