In 1973, the Knicks once again took a trip the NBA Finals where they found the Los Angles Lakers waiting for them. Led by Bill Bradley, Willis Reed, Earl Monroe, Walt Frazier, Dave Debusschere, Dick Barnett, Jerry Lucas and Henry Bibby, the NY Knicks clinched the Championship against a team that stole it from them the year before. The Knicks reversed their fortune from the previous year and defeated the Lakers 4 games to 1. WIllis Reed was selected as the Finals MVP for his leadership and contibutions throughout the playoffs. On one panel of the orange leather ball is the "Knicks" logo and "72-73 CHAMPS" imprinted in black. On the panel below that is the "Spalding" manufacturers name imprinted in black. On the panel below that is "Official Game Ball NBA" and "David J. Stern" in script and "COMMISSIONER NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION" imprinted in black. On the opposite side of the ball is an additional "Spalding" manufacturers name imprinted in black on one panel. On the panel below that is "NBA" imprinted in black. On the panel below that is the inflation valve, inflation information, "SELECTED GRAIN GENUINE LEATHER" and "MADE IN CHINA" imprinted in black. There are autographs in black marker rating strong 8s and 9s on four of the panels. Signatures include Hall of Famers Reed, DeBusschere, Frazier, Lucas, Monroe, and Bradley, along with Barnett and Bibby. The ball is in mint condition and comes with a Steiner glass presentation case. Accompanied by a Steiner Certificate and by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
