WILLIE RANDOLPH joined the Yankees in 1976 and quickly stabilized the infield. The second baseman was instrumental in providing the defense that enabled New York to go to the World Series in 1976, and then to capture consecutive World Championships in 1977 and 1978. During his first six seasons, the Yanks won four AL Pennants and two World Championships. During his 13 seasons with the club, Randolph was named to the All Star team six times. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturers tag with wash instructions on it. Attached to that is an additional manufacturers tag with the jersey size "40" on it. On the inside back collar is an additional manufacturers tag with "Randolph 86 1" in script embroidered in navy blue thread. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK." On the back of the jersey is the player number "30." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. The jersey shows good game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a Yankees Steiner letter.
