A superb offensive and defensive player, DAVE WINFIELD came to the Yankees from the Padres in 1981. That season, he led New York in 11 offensive categories, was named to the All Star team, and helped the Yankees to the AL Pennant and the World Series. Winfield received five of his seven Gold Glove awards as a Yankee. In 1990, he was traded to the California Angels 20 games into the season. In 22 seasons, Winfield compiled 3110 hits, 465 home runs and 1833 RBIs. The twelve-time All Star was elected to the Baseball HoF in 1991. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturers tag with wash instructions on it. Attached to that are three additional manufacturers tags with the jersey size "44" and "TAPERED" and "2 INCH X-LENGTH" on them. On the inside back collar is an additional manufacturers tag with "Winfield 90 1" in script embroidered in navy blue thread. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK." On the back of the jersey is the player number "22." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. The jersey shows good game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a Yankees Steiner letter.
