One of the greatest pitchers ever, ROGER CLEMENS is one of only two pitchers with 4,000 strikeouts. Joining the Yankees after years with the Red Sox and Blue Jays, Clemens won one of his record seven Cy Young Awards while in pinstripes. Clemens' first five decisions as a Yankee were victories. In 2003 Clemens helped New York to another World Championship. In the regular season he went 17-9, recorded 190 strikeouts, and was named to the All Star team. Clemens departed the club to join the Astros in his home state of Texas in 2004. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell" manufacturers tag with wash instructions on it. Below that is an additional manufacturers tag with "2003" on it. Attached to the "Russell" tag are two additional manufacturers tags with the jersey size "52" and "100% POLYESTER" and "3" EXTRA LENGTH" on them. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK." On the back of the jersey is the player number "22." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the official "Yankees 100th Anniversary" embroidered logo patch. On the back outside collar is the official "MLB" embroidered logo. The manufacturers' "year" tag has been re-stitched to the jersey. There jersey appears to have no other alterations. Accompanied by a Yankees-Steiner Collectibles LOA.
