The "ultimate closer," MARIANO RIVERA made his debut in pinstripes in 1995. The "fireman" has been instrumental in the Yankees success over the past decade. In his ten year career, he has compiled 336 saves with a 2.45 ERA. A six-time All Star, Rivera was named MVP in the 1999 World Series, the 2003 ALCS MVP and holds the major league postseason and World Series records for saves (32). In 2004, Rivera had another stellar year, with 53 saves to his credit. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell" manufacturers tag with wash instructions on it. Below that is an additional manufacturers tag with "2004" on it. Attached to the "Russell" tag are two additional manufacturers tags with the jersey size "48" and "100% POLYESTER" and "3" EXTRA LENGTH" on them. On the left breast of the jersey is the official "NY" logo in navy blue tackle twill. On the back of the jersey is the player number "42" in navy blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the official "Yankees 100th Anniversary" embroidered logo patch. On the back outside collar is the official "MLB" embroidered logo. The jersey appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a Yankees Steiner letter.
