Already a star slugger in Japan, Hideki "Godzilla" Matsui announced his arrival in New York with a grand slam in his first game at Yankee Stadium, the first Yankee to ever accomplish this feat. An All-Star both times in his two years with the Yankees, Matsui has averaged .339 in the postseason, batting .412 in both the 2004 ALDS and ALCS. With such a start, he promises to have a long and successful career in the Big Apple with the most famous team in all of sports. This is Hideki Matsui's personal Yankee Stadium locker room chair from the 2004 season. The metal framed folding chair has white padded leather seat, back and armrest. There is a Yankees top hat logo on the seat and a blue "NY" Yankees logo on the seat back. The frame is painted blue and is made by Clarin, whose logo appears on the bottom back leg feet. Underneath the seat is a "Clarin Boxx Seats" sticker. Behind the seat back is a piece of trainer's tape with "Matsui" written in black marker. The seat shows great use with soiling on the seat and back. Accompanied by a Yankees-Steiner Collectibles LOA.
