This team ordered bat from 1969-72 is extremely unique with its heavily coated black pine tar handle. Aaron would often use this type of tar to add weight to his bats during warmup and in the on-deck circle. This barrel shows use on the left and front, with scoring evident on the left barrel which has been coated with a layer of urethane. The all time leader in career homers signed the front barrel in blue marker which rates a solid 9. Bat is accompanied with an SI magazine cover showing Aaron with one of his black pine tar covered bats. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: R43, Labeling Period: 1969-72, Length: 35 inches, Weight: 33-3/5 ounces, Wood: Ash, Finish: Standard. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA and the signature is accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
