Heading into the 1960 season, Stan Musial asked for, and received, a pay cut from $100,000 to $80,000 a year. Musial said he was overpaid in 1957 and 1958, and his salary should be cut based on his performance in 1959. This vintage Musial game-used bat was used heavily with ball marks visible on the right and back barrel area. Cardinal red rack marks are visible on the right barrel and front centerbrand. Typical Stan "The Man" scoring can be found on the handle. This outstanding example of an early era Stan Musial bat has been cracked along the back handle. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: M117, Labeling Period: 1944-49, Length: 34-1/2 inches, Weight: 31-3/10 ounces, Wood: Ash, Finish: Standard. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
