In his 13 year MLB career, Pedro Martinez has become one of the elite pitchers in the game, with a record of 182 wins, 2,653 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.71. Since breaking in with the Dodgers in 1993, Martinez has won three Cy Young Awards, led the league in ERA five times and in strikeouts three times, and named an All Star six times. In 2004, Martinez was a prime factor in the Red Sox success, winning 16 games with 227 strikeouts. In the 2004 World Series, he won the only game he started, going seven innings without giving up a run. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell" manufacturers tag with wash instructions on it. Attached to that are three additional manufacturers tags with the jersey size "46" and "+3" BODY LENGTH" and "2004" on them. Across the front of the jersey is "BOSTON." Across the back is "MARTINEZ." Below that is the player number "45." All lettering and numbering is done in red on blue tackle twill. On the back outside collar is the official "MLB" embroidered logo. On the left sleeve is the "Russell" embroidered logo. The jersey shows good game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind except for the custom sleeves which were made wider for Pedro's comfort.
