The American League's premier catcher for almost two decades, Carlton Fisk was a fixture behind the plate for the Red Sox and White Sox. In 1972 with Boston, Fisk won AL Rookie of the Years honors and a Gold Glove Award. In his career, "Pudge" Fisk was known for his intelligent handling of pitchers and game situations. When he retired, the durable Fisk was the all-time leader in career games caught and home runs by a catcher. He was elected to the Baseball HoF in 2000. On the inside left tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturers tag with wash instructions and the jersey size "48" on it. Attached to that is an additional manufacturers tag with "SET 1 1988" on it. Across the front of the jersey is "White Sox" in script. On the back of the jersey is the player number "72." All lettering and numbering is done in blue on red tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the "Rawlings" embroidered logo. There is a signature in black marker rating a strong 8 on the left front of the jersey. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
