Although all teams in the American League wore a patch on the left sleeve in 1951 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the American League, the Detroit Tigers wore an additional patch on the right sleeve to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the city of Detroit. The Tigers were also host to the 1951 All-Star Game. This is an actual 4" x 5" Detroit Tigers right sleeve uniform patch from 1951. White felt with embroidered eagle and shield in the center, "Detroit 1701-1951" (red and yellow) on the top and "250th Birthday Festival" (blue) on the bottom. In overall EXMT-NRMT condition with minor fraying along the edges, where it would have been removed from a uniform.
