Idolized by millions in his time, Babe Ruth remains an American icon today - the man who made baseball America's pastime. The Yankees, having never won a pennant prior to 1921, proceeded to win four World Series upon acquiring "The Bambino." A 94 game winner with a 2.28 ERA while with the Red Sox, Ruth switched to the outfield with the Yankees and a slugging legend was born. He remains a towering figure in the sport to this day. He was inaugurated into Cooperstown with the first class in 1936, only a year after his retirement. This (possible) OAL Harridge baseball has been signed in black fountain pen on the sweet spot by the Babe. The ball shows wear and spotting, with the manufacturer's mark and League President's name having practically worn off. The signature grades a 7-8. Accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
