On May 20, 1962, Dodgers superstar Jackie Robinson appeared as a guest on the Ed Sullivan show. Inducted into the HOF that same year, Robinson stood on the stage with Sullivan and gave batting tips. This ONL Frick ball has been signed in black fountain pen on the top panel by Jackie Robinson, who added an inscription to Sullivan himself, "To Ed with thanks for a wonderful show." The opposite panel has been signed in blue ink by teammate Gil Hodges, who added "To Ed, Best Wishes." The ball is toned, the signatures Robinson signature grades a strong 7 and the Hodges a 6. Accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
