ONL Frick baseball signed in black and green ink by 28 members of the 1940 National League All-Star team (several HOFers), who defeated the American League 4-0 in the first ever All-Star shutout. Signatures include manager Bill McKechnie and coach Doc Prothro on the sweet spot, Mel Ott, Harry Danning, Paul Derringer, Leo Durocher, Billy Herman, Carl Hubbell, Ernie Lombardi, Joe Medwick, Johnny Mize, Arky Vaughan and several others. The ball shows light toning with signatures that grade a 7-8 overall, with a few signatures on the top panel having faded but still legible. Gowdy and McKechnie have been deemed clubhouse. Also included is a vintage Spalding ONL baseball box, in EXMT condition. Accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
