Chicago Cubs owner William Wrigley, hoping to keep up interest in baseball during WWII, founded the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) in 1943. The league lasted until 1954, some of the coaches being HOFers Jimmie Foxx, Max Carey and Dave Bancroft. This 13-1/2" x 21-1/2" re-issued 1940s cardboard schedule (shows some creasing) for the Rockford Peaches has been signed, inscribed and dated 1988 by three of the league's greats: "Left Hohlmayer, Kenosha Comets, 1946-1951, HOF '88," "Marge Wenzell, South Bend Blue Sox, 1945-1953, HOF '88" and "Pepper Pairie Davis, All American Baseball, Racine Belles #7, 1945/53, HOF '88." Comes with a letter from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
