One of the most prominent photographers of the early 20th century, Boston's own Carl Horner was well known for his famous portraits of baseball stars. In fact, his portraits are featured in many of the T206 tobacco cards of the era. This 43" panoramic photo of his is of the 1912 World Champion Boston Red Sox, and has been matted and framed to 49" x 14-1/2". Members of the team include HOFers Tris Speaker and Harry Hooper, as well as the infamous Eddie Ciccote. There are two 4" diagonal tears in the center of the photo, but no paper loss. The left side of the photo shows two vertical creases and some water staining and fading, but the players are still clearly visible. Additionally, there is a tiny area of paper loss on the lower left side, which has been partially filled in with pencil and green ink.
