24" (handle to handle) x 15" silver plated tray with four small feet, made by Alden House, presented to controversial slugger Pete Rose in 1982. Engraved in the center is "Gillette Special Award, 1982, Pete Rose." The Gillette Special Award was given in conjunction with the "This Week in Baseball" television program. Almost the entire front is further engraved with a floral pattern typical on silver-plated serving trays. Pete Rose has signed the back in blue marker and added the inscription "My good wishes." The surface shows some scratching oxidation, the large signature and inscription grade an 8. Accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
