This salesman's sample ring is identical to the one presented to Mets pitcher Buzz Capra, who along with his teammates defeated the Cincinnati Reds to capture the 1973 National League pennant. Stamped "Balfour" and "10K" inside, this size 9 ring features a blue stone set in the center, capped with a silver carved baseball that contains 14 chips. Around the center are raised letters that read "N.L. Champions, 1973, N.Y. Mets." On the left shank is a raised Mets logo with Capra's number "38." On the right shank is a carved Shea Stadium , an incredibly detailed small Mets vs Reds scoreboard and Mets cap. The ring show minimal wear and is in NRMT condition.
