With his trademark bank shot, Sam Jones was one of the offensive stars on a the Celtics dynasty teams of the 1960s. In his twelve years, all with Boston, Jones averaged 17.7 points per game and contributed greatly to 10 of the Celtics NBA Championships. Named to the All Star team five times, Jones was named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history, and was elected to the Basketball HoF in 1984. On the inside back collar of this short sleeved terrycloth Boston Celtics warmup jacket is the "Wilson" manufacturers tag with the jacket size "44". Attached to the manufacturers tag is a white tag that has the writing completely worn off of it. Across the front of the jacket is "CELTICS" in white on yellow tackle twill. On the back of the jersey is a white nameplate with the player name "S. JONES" in green tackle twill, it is attached to the back of the jacket with seven metal snap fasteners. On each sleeve is the official "Celtics Shamrock" logo in white on yellow tackle twill. The jacket is closed with six green plastic buttons. The jacket shows good wear with the screen printed "shamrocks" and "Celtics" name dirty. There appears to be no other alterations of any kind.
