Paul Arizin played in the NBA All Star Game every one of the ten years he was with the Philadelphia Warriors. In 1952 he led the NBA in scoring, averaging 25.4 points per game. In the All Star Game, he shot 9 for 13 from the field, was a perfect 8 for 8 from the free throw line, and pulled down 6 rebounds. His 26 points led the East to a 108-91 victory over the West team. In 1956, Arizin led the Warriors to the NBA title, and in the following season, again led the NBA in scoring. The 1950 College Player of the Year at Villanova, Arizin was named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history. He was elected to the Basketball HoF in 1978. On the inside front tail of this dureen jersey is the "Horace Partridge" manufacturers tag with size "42". Adjacent to that is the size tag "L". Across the front and back of the jersey is the player number "11" with six red stars. The numbering is done in blue nylon with the stars done in red nylon. On the inside back waistband of the satin shorts is the yellow "Wilson" manufacturers tag with the shorts size "36". The red, white and blue waistband is elasticized with a black cloth drawstring. The jersey shows good game use with some blue staining on the front and back. The shorts show game use with a small stain in the seat. The jersey and shorts appear to have no alterations of any kind. The jersey and shorts are accompanied with a letter from Paul Arizin.
