One of the truely innovative showmen in the sport of basketball, Pete Maravich still holds the record for career NCAA points scored. The 1970 College Player of the Year, "Pistol Pete" was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks before moving to the New Orleans, then the Utah, Jazz. Maravich was a prolific scorer in the NBA, leading the league in points scored in 1977. Named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history in 1996, Maravich was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987. On the front tail of the jersey is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag with wash instructions and jersey size "42" on it. Above that is an additional "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag. Across the front of the jersey is "JAZZ" in purple, yellow and green tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "44" in purple tackle twill. Across the back is a restored ""PISTOL"" purple tackle twill. The jersey shows excellent game use and except for the name appears to have no alterations of any kind. Comes with a letter explaining the jerseys origin, obtained directly from the Maravich family.
