This jersey was used as a salesman's sample; Bill Melchionni wore #25 for the Nets from 1970 through 1976. On the right front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturers tag with wash instructions and the jersey size "42" on it. On the inside back collar of the jersey is an additional manufacturers tag with the manufacturer's specifications (required by salesmen) typed on it in black ink. On the front of the jersey is "NETS." Below that and on the back is the player number "25." All lettering and numbering is done in red tackle twill. There are three white tackle twill stars on the blue portion of the left side panel. The jersey shows light wear and does not appear to have any alterations aside from the added salesman's information tag.
