The final season of the ABA was a great one for the Nets. Led by Hall of Famer Julius Erving, the Nets took on the Nuggets led by fellow Hall of Famers David Thompson and Dan Issel in the Championship Finals. Erving, who was the ABA's scoring champion and league MVP that year, led the way, and New York defeated Denver in six games to take the last ABA title. On the inside right front of the jacket is the "Rawlings" manufacturers tag with the jacket size "44" on it. Adjacent to that is the player number "11" along with previous player number "31" and an additional illegible number in black marker. Across the back of the jacket is "NETS" in blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a circular patch of a "4" in white on black tackle twill, worn in honor of Nets forward Wendell Ladner who died in a plane crash in the summer of 1975. On the back inside waistband of the pants is the "Rawlings" manufacturers tag with the pants size "34" on it. On that is the player number "11" in black marker. Adjacent to that is an additional manufacturers tag with the player number "11" on it in black marker. Below that is an additional manufacturers tag with a former player number "12" on it in black marker. To the right of that is an additional former player number "25" in purple marker. On the bottom of both pant legs is "NETS" vertically in white tackle twill. The jacket and pants show good wear; the former player number "25" has bled through the seat of the pants to the outside. The jacket and pants appear to have no alterations of any kind.
