John Elway quarterbacked the Denver Broncos from 1983 through 1998, and appeared in nine Pro Bowls. A decisive leader with a strong arm, Elway led the Broncos to Super Bowl appearances in 1986, 1987 and 1989. In 1997 and 1998, he directed Denver to Back-to-Back Super Bowl victories, over the Packers and the Falcons. In his last (1998) season, Elway tossed 22 touchdown passes for the Broncos. When he retired, Elway was second in the NFL in career passing attempts and passing yards, third in career completions, and fourth in career touchdown passes. Elway was elected to the Pro Football HoF in 2004. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Nike" manufacturers tag. On the inside left back tail of the jersey is an additional manufacturers tag with wash instructions on it. On the inside back collar is an additional manufacturers tag with "98 - 48" on it. On the bottom front of the collar is the official ""NFL" embroidered logo. Below that is the official "Broncos" embroidered name. On the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey is the player number "7" in blue on orange tackle twill. Across the back of the jersey is "ELWAY" in blue tackle twill on a white name plate. On both sleeves is the "Nike Swoosh" embroidered logo. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
