The first athlete in the modern age to play two professional sports, Bo Jackson hit for the MLB Royals in the Spring and Summer, while in the Fall he carried the ball as a running back for the Oakland Raiders. As a NFL Rookie in 1987, Jackson played in seven games for Oakland, averaged 6.8 yards per carry, rushed for four touchdowns and caught 16 passes for an additional two touchdowns. His four-year NFL career, all with the Raiders, included 16 rushing touchdowns and a 1990 Pro Bowl selection. Jackson retired from the NFL after 1990 to concentrate on baseball. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "MacGregor Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag with the jersey size "48" on it. Above that is an additional manufacturers tag. On the inside right jersey seam is an additional manufacturers tag with wash instructions on it. On the front, back, and on each sleeve of the jersey is the player number "34" in black on silver tackle twill. Across the back is "JACKSON" in black tackle twill on a white name plate. The nameplate has been replaced. The jersey shows good game use and, with exception to the nameplate, appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA sourcing the jersey from teammate Lester Hayes and indicating it was worn during a MNF game against the Seahawks.
