Under the leadership of Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Theisman, the Washington Redskins went 14-2 in 1983. Although the "Skins"captured the NFC title, they lost in Super Bowl XVIII to the Los Angeles Raiders. On the white leather panel below the laces is the "Wilson" manufacturers name, the inflation valve, inflation information and "MADE IN USA" imprinted in black. On the brown leather panel below the laces is the "Wilson" manufacturers name, "NFL" and "Official" in script and "American Football Conference National Football Conference" and "Pete Rozelle" in script and "COMMISSIONER" imprinted in black. There are over 30 signatures in blue ink rating 4s and 5s on the three white panels. Signatures include Joe Theisman, Mark Mosely and Joe Jacoby. The ball is in fair condition, with surface of the white leather panels severely cracked. Accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
