Bobby Hull's career left indelible marks on the game of hockey, not the least of which was his blistering slapshot, measured at an astounding 120 mph. Hull introduced the curved stick, giving greater puck-handling control and to put greater velocity on their shots. After entering the league in 1957-58, the "Golden Jet" led the Blackhawks to their first Stanley Cup Championship in 23 years in 1961. The next year Hull became only the third player in NHL history to record more than 50 goals in a single season - a feat he would accomplish four more times in his NHL career. In 1965-66 he set the record for most goals in a season with 54 and rewrote the record in 68-69 with 58 goals. As an NHL player with the Chicago Blackhawks for 14 years, Hull was awarded the Hart Trophy as the league's MVP twice. In 1972, Hull signed with the Winnipeg Jets of the rival WHA. In a 23-year professional career, Hull scored 1,809 points and had four seasons in which he scored 50 or more goals, including one where he scored 77. On the inside back collar of the sweater is the "Gunzo's Sports Center Inc." manufacturers tag. Across the front of the sweater is the official "Blackhawks Indian Head" embroidered logo patch. On both sleeves is the official "Blackhawk Tomahawk C" embroidered logo patch. Below that on both sleeves, and on the back of the sweater is the player number "9" in black twill. The sweater shows good game use with the manufacturers tag partially detached due to wear. There appears to be no alterations of any kind.
