Already stars in Europe and their native England, pandemonium ensued upon the Beatles' arrival in the United States in 1964. With 17 number one hits, the Beatles changed the face of popular music forever, and it hasn't been the same since. John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have become mythic figures and household names in the lexicon of entertainment superstars. Although Lennon and Harrison have since passed away, the Beatles still remain one of the most popular bands in the world today. This 28" x 18" framed display holds three National Westminster Bank checks from the 1970s, signed by Beatles John Lennon (1976), George Harrison (1972) and Ringo Starr (signed "R. Starkey") (1971). There is also a Paul McCartney album "Red Rose Speedway" in the display, which has not been signed by McCartney. The blue and black ink signatures on these rare Beatles checks grade an overall 8 and come with a letter from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
