Handwritten letter dated July 3, 1987 on High Flight Foundation letterhead, written and signed by Apollo astronaut James Irwin, who walked on the moon in 1971. Irwin died in 1991. Content reads in part, "I was the 8th man on the moon. I think we shall establish a base on the moon when we return..." Framed to 19" x 24" with a black and white photo of him. Letter and signature grade an overall 8-9 and are accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
