Vintage Edison Home Phonograph, appears to be an early version of the "new style" Model A, which replaced the "suitcase" style of 1896. Serial number H46359 with last patent date of May 1, 1898, plays two-minute cylinders. The bright decal with red printing is a carryover from the decal used on the top lid of earlier models. This style lasted only a few months before the banner was replaced with black letters. Seam is loose on the top lid, has the shaver and reproducer (no needle) and also includes part of a Model C reproducer. Sans drive belt, crank and horn, the top wood has split near the hinge, so the top must be lifted off to expose the motor.
