Paul Arizin began his playing career by failing to make his High School team. At Villanova, he made the team as a walk-on as a sophomore. In college, he set a single game scoring record with 85 points. Arizin went on to lead the nation in scoring with 25.3 points per game and was named College Player of the Year as a senior in 1950. Arizin stayed in Philadelphia, playing for the NBA's Warriors from 1950 through 1962, however missed two seasons due to military service. He was named to three All-NBA First Teams and played in 10 NBA All-Star Games, being named Game MVP in 1952. Arizin led the league in scoring twice, and provided the punch that led the Warriors to the 1956 NBA title. In 1996 he was named as one of the NBA's 50 greatest players. Silver Relief medallion.
