Founder and owner of several semi-pro teams in Rochester, Contributor Les Harrison was the owner and coach of the National Basketball League Rochester Royals, guiding the team to three NBL Finals and the league title in 1946. He was instrumental in the merger of the NBL and BAA, forming the modern NBA. Harrison coached the Royals to the 1951 NBA Championship. A three-time All-America at Ohio State, Jerry Lucas teamed with John Havlicek and Bob Knight to lead the Buckeyes to three straight NCAA Finals and the 1960 NCAA Championship. He also won Olympic Gold in 1960. College Player of the Year in 1960 and 1961, Lucas was NBA Rookie of the Year with the Cincinnati Royals. He played 11 years in the NBA, appeared in seven All-Star contests, and was integral in the Knicks' 1973 NBA Championship. In 19 seasons at the University of Wyoming, Coach Everett Shelton he led the Cowboys to eight Conference titles, eight NCAA tournaments, and the 1943 NCAA Championship. Shelton developed the five-man weave offense in 1932. Dallas Shirley refereed over 2,000 games over 33 years in the Southern, ECAC and Atlantic Coast conferences. Shirley was a member of the NBA's first officiating crew in 1946, and worked many international competitions, including the 1960 Olympics in Rome. All are Silver Relief medallions. Lucas and Shirley are in NM condition. Harrison is in excellent condition; slight wear on nose. Shelton is in very good condition; scratch on background.
