One of the all-time great centers in high school, college and pro basketball, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar guided the UCLA Bruins to a 88-2 record and three consecutive NCAA titles (1967-69). A three-time consensus All-America, he was the College Player of the Year in 1967 and 1969, and was named MVP of the NCAA tournament a record three times (1967-69). He was named Rookie of the Year in his first of 20 stellar NBA seasons. Abdul-Jabbar teamed with Oscar Robertson to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to the 1971 NBA title. After being traded to Los Angeles, his patented "Sky Hook" shot helped the Lakers to five NBA titles (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988). Kareem was named NBA league MVP five six times and played in a record 18 NBA All-Star Games. Abdul-Jabbar retired as the NBA's career leader in numerous categories, including seasons played (20), minutes played (57,446) and points scored (38,337). Kareem averaged 24.6 points per game, pulled down 17,440 rebounds and blocked 3,189 shots as a pro. He was selected as one of the NBA's 50 greatest players in 1996. Silver Relief medallion.
