Elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002, Earvin "Magic" Johnson was the leader on the Laker Championship teams of the 1980s. When he retired, Magic was the all-time career NBA leader in assists. "Magic" model shoe manufactured by Converse Rubber Company. White leather uppers with purple, gold and black plastic trim. The model name "Magic" is stamped on the inside and outside counter, and "Converse" is stamped on the rear counter, all in purple. Purple, grey and black rubber sole with the "Magic" name and the "Converse Star" raised. White leather and nylon tongue with white cloth laces. The "Converse" manufacturers tag is at top of tongue on front and back. On the inside of the shoes on one of the inside seams is an additional manufacturers tag with "SAMPLE" and the size "14" on it. Black nylon lining and white sock liner. There is an autograph and "#32" in black marker rating a 9 on the inside counter of the right shoe and on the outside counter of the left shoe.
