Alfred McGuire was seven-time all-star Dick McGuire's son. Although Allie was no carbon copy of his old man, he did step on the court on two occasions for the Knicks in 1974 scoring a total of four points. Inside the back of the collar of this jersey is the "cosby" manufacturer's tag. Attached are two tags, one reading "44 LONG," and the other a code tag with wash instructions. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK" done in orange on blue tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "16" also done in orange on blue tackle twill. Across the back of the jersey is "McGUIRE" done in blue tackle twill. The jersey shows moderate use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
