Known for his flamboyant nature and his expertise at sacking quarterbacks, Mark Gastineau led the Jets defense from 1979 to 1988. Green mesh jersey with white cloth under the crotch flap that buttons in the front. White stripe trim on sleeves and around collar. On the bottom left tail of the jersey is the "Champion" manufacturers tag with the jersey size "L" and wash instructions on it. Attached to that is an additional manufacturers tag that can no longer be read. On the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey is the player number "99." Across the back of the jersey is "GASTINEAU" on a green name plate. All lettering and numbering is done in white tackle twill. There is an autograph and "#99" in black marker rating a strong 8 on the first "9" of the back player number. The jersey shows good game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
