The Cleveland Browns in their first season in the NFL were down 28-27 to the Los Angeles Rams in the 1950 NFL Championship Game. With 28 seconds remaining, the Browns turned to placekicker Lou Groza. Groza nailed the 16-yard field goal and Cleveland won the game 30-28. This is the actual football that was kicked by Groza to win the 1950 NFL Championship Game. On one panel below the laces imprinted in black is "MADE BY WILSON", "THORP SPORTING GOODS NEW YORK", "BERT BELL COMMISSIONER" and "OFFICIAL NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE AMERICAN CONFERENCE NATIONAL CONFERENCE" in script. On the other panel below the laces is the black rubber inflation valve, inflation instructions and "THE DUKE" imprinted in black. The ball shows good game use and is accompanied by an LOA detailing the ball's provenance.
