Great jersey worn by one of the College All-Stars in the 1946 Chicago Tribune College Football All-Star Game. The game was played to benefit various charities from 1934 to 1976. The contest pitted the nation's best college seniors against the previous year's NFL Champion team. Blue dureen jersey with red, white and blue side panels. Grey dureen shoulders with red felt stars. On the bottom inside of the back "tail" is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag. Attached to that are two additional manufacturers' tags with the jersey size "40" and wash instructions on them. Six plastic buttons for securing the "tail" to the bottom front of the jersey. On the front and back is the player number "69" in silver-grey tackle twill. The jersey shows excellent game-use. The fabric is worn through on the side panels at bottom. The bottom of the tail is torn with loose threads and many worn-through spots. The lettering is very wrinkled with severe blue stains. There are many blue stains and dirt stains and wear spots on the grey shoulders. The stars on the shoulders have been repaired, otherwise there appear to be no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA.
