This 1974 Super Bowl IX Championship ring is a prototype and practically identical to the one that Steeler "Mean" Joe Greene was given for Pittsburgh's first World Championship after defeating the Minnesota Vikings 16-6. Cast in 10K yellow gold, on the top and bottom of this size 11 ring's face is Pittsburgh Steelers" in relief on a black background. On the left and right ring face is engraved "19" and "74," respectively. On the top center is a round synthetic diamond set on a black oval, with "World Champions" in relief around it. On the left shank is engraved "Super Bowl IX" and a rendition of the Lombardi Trophy, with "Steelers 32 Bills 6, Steelers 24 Raiders 13, Steelers 16 Vikings 6" engraved around it. On the right shank is engraved the player name "Greene", beneath which is engraved the Steelers logo and the player number "75." On the inside of the ring is stamped "Jostens 10K." Ring shows light wear and is in overall EXMT condition.
