In 1989, KEVIN ELSTER played his 73rd consecutive errorless game to set the record for Major League shortstops. A mainstay of the Mets for almost a decade, Elster came to the Yankees in 1994 for a brief stint. This is Kevin Elster's 1995 NY Yankees game-used road knit jersey. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection" manufacturer's label with size "46." Attached is a white flag tag with material "100% Polyester." Adjacent and above is a faded white tag with "Elster 95." Across the front of the jersey is "New York" done in blue on white tackle twill. On the back is the player number "26" done in blue on white tackle twill. The jersey shows nice game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
