One of baseball's best sluggers in the 1990s, CECIL FIELDER'S 51 homers in 1990 marked the first time since Mantle and Maris in 1961 that an American League player had reached 50. This is Cecil Fielder's 1997 NY Yankees game-used road knit jersey. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection" manufacturer's label with size "52." Attached is a white flag tag with material "100% Polyester," and underneath that a faded white tag with " fielder 97." Across the front of the jersey is "New York" done in blue on white tackle twill. On the back is the player number "45" done in blue on white tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
