NICK JOHNSON was called up to play in 23 games his rookie season, but he did not make the Yankees 2001 World Series roster. This jersey was worn on the bench, as he cheered on his Yankee teammates against the Diamondbacks. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell" manufacturers tag. Attached to that are flag tags with the jersey size "50," "100% POLYESTER" and "4" EXTRA LENGTH" on them. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK." On the back of the jersey is the player number "60." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the embroidered official "2001 World Series" logo patch and below that is a black armband honoring the 9/11 victims. On the right sleeve is the embroidered official "American League 100th Anniversary" logo patch. On the outside back collar is the post-9/11 embroidered United States flag patch sewn directly over the embroidered official "MLB" logo. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a Yankees-Steiner Collectibles COA.
