RUBEN SIERRA came back to the Yankees from the Rangers in mid-2003 and has since been the Yanks' "go-to" man in high pressure situations. In 1987 Sierra had become the youngest player to belt 30 homers since Tony Conigliaro accomplished that feat in 1965. In 2004 he surpassed 300 career home runs and is in the top six all-time switch-hitting home run list. This is Ruben Sierra's 2003 NY Yankees game-issued home knit pinstripe jersey. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" manufacturer's label with wash instructions. Attached is a white flag tag with jersey size "48" and material "100% Polyester," and another white flag tag with "+2 extra length." Adjacent is a white patch with the year "2003." On the left breast is the "NY" interlocking logo done in blue tackle twill. On the back is the player number "24" done in blue tackle twill. On the back neck is the official MLB logo patch. On the left sleeve is the Yankees "100th Anniversary 1903-2003" patch. The jersey was game-issued and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a letter from Yankees-Steiner Collectibles.
