The "Eck" began his career as a starter in 1975 with the Cleveland Indians, then moved to Boston and won 20 games in 1978 with the Red Sox. After 12 seasons as a starter, he moved to the bullpen and became one of the best closers of all-time with the Oakland Athletics, winning the AL Cy Young and MVP awards 1992. On the front tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturers tag with the jersey size "42" on it. Below that is the embroidered "83" year tag. Across the front of the jersey is "RED SOX." On the back is the player number "43." All lettering and numbering is done in red on navy blue tackle twill. There is an autograph in blue marker rating a 7 on the front of the jersey. The jersey shows game use. It appears the "Wilson" size tag has been reattached. Otherwise, the jersey appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
