Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1992, Newhouser played for the Tigers from 1939 to 1953. White flannel pants with black pin stripe trim down outseams, button at waist with white metal zipper. On the inside back waistband is the "Wilson" manufacturers tag. Attached to that is an additional manufacturers tag with the pants size "36" waist on it. Below that is an additional tag with "Newhouser" in script embroidered in red. Adjacent to the "Wilson" tag is "17" in black marker. The pants show good game use with several small stains and spots, and several small holes in the right seat of the pants. There appears to be no alterations of any kind.
