Joe Tipton played in the bigs from 1948 until 1954. He moved around a lot, playing for Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia and finally Washington, where he ended his career. Inside the front right tail of this emaculate flannel is the "MacGregor GoldSmith" manufacturer's tag with size "42" on it. Adjacent to that is the "Mitchell&Ness" manufacturer's tag. Below these two tags is a flag tag reading "SET 1 1951." On the left breast is "A" done in blue felt. In the back of the collar is a tag with "15" stitched in red. On the back of the jersey is the player number "15" done in blue felt. On the left sleeve is the "AMERICAN LEAGUE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY" patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
