This is Greg Maddux's game-used baseball cap from the 1999 Atlanta Braves season. On the front of this blue and red cap is the Atlanta Braves "A." Sewn into the inside back of the cap are the "Authentic Diamond Collection" tag, the "New Era" manufacturer's tag, and the 7-1/4 size tag. On the underside of the bill is Maddux’s number "31" written in black marker. On the front of the cap is Andres Galaragga's number "14" written in silver marker; Galaragga sat out the 1999 season with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of cancer from which he recovered to play in the 2000 All-Star Game. Maddux has signed the cap in black marker on top of the bill, with the signature grading a solid 9. Cap shows excellent game-use with perspiration and dirt marks.
