Mike Schmidt had the hitting power and the defensive skills to make his way into the Hall of Fame as baseball’s greatest third baseman. Schmidt compiled 548 career home runs, including three 40 home-run seasons, and won ten Gold Gloves playing for the Philadelphia Phillies. The three-time National League MVP was selected to 12 All-Star Games. In 1980, he set the record for most homers hit by a third baseman in a single season with 48. On the inside back collar of the blue road jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturers tag with the jersey size "44" and with wash instructions on it. Adjacent to that is a striptag with "SCHMIDT 1 87" embroidered on it. On the left breast of the jersey is the "Phillies P" logo. On the right breast and on the back is the player number "20". Across the back is "SCHMIDT" on a blue name plate. All lettering and numbering is done in burgundy on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the embroidered official "Phillies" logo patch. There is an autograph in blue marker rating a 9 on the front of the jersey. The jersey shows great game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
